As the LGBT+ Community is so diverse and our members have a range of interests, we strive to organise varied events.

Here's just a few things we've got up to in the last year...

DOGs (9)Pride Fest!
In June 2019 we organised the University's very first Pride event in collaboration with the Students' Union. Featuring a Drag Competition, live music and lots of stalls, the event was a fantastic celebration of LGBT+ art, culture and people.

We plan to repeat this event in 2020 so do let us know if you have any ideas!

Eurovision Party
For the second year running, we streamed The Eurovision Song Contest live from The Hive. The contest has a long history of positive LGBT+ representation and is always a lot of fun to watch.

DOGs (9)Let's Talk: LGBT+
In collaboration with the Students' Union support zone, we held a panel event with panelists from across the LGBT+ spectrum.

This event was particularly intersectional and was an interesting insight into how different parts of a person's identity affects their experience of being an LGBT+ person.

Zine Making Workshop
We often get crafty at the LGBT+ Society and this year have taken part in: a bin bag fashion show, a zine workshop, and a pebble painting session with the Centre for Wellbeing.

If you have a particular type of arts + crafts session you'd like to do, let us know!

DOGs (9)Pride in London
An annual tradition, the LGBT+ Society attends Pride in London every summer and have even been part of the parade for the last couple of years!

Here's a few of us at Pride in London 2019 with our parade sign.
